The story of Chichi®

Chichi® is the Papiamentu word for ‘big sister.’ She represents the eldest daughter of the family, who lovingly and supportively binds the family together. She helps her mother care for her younger siblings and manage household tasks. She is a much-appreciated female role model in today’s Caribbean community and a very meaningful figure in its rich and vibrant heritage.
Chichi® represents love for family, creativity, and the rich culture and heritage of Curaçao. Each Chichi is handcrafted and painted in vibrant Caribbean colors and designs by different local artists. Workshops are given on Tuesday and Saturday mornings from 9:00-12:00 at Chichi® Garden (next to the Ostrich Farm).You can walk-in between 9:00am - 9:15am, no reservation needed. The workshop starts at 9:30am.
Walk-in Chichi® Experience – including a medium Chichi® (15cm) – $110

VIP Chichi® Experience 1-12 participants (excluding the sculptures) - $155
Are you planning a bachelorette party? We also offer individual workshops for families and/or groups who prefer a more private setting. Our Chichi® painting workshops are designed to provide personal attention ans lots of atistic guidance, to make this event a on of a kind experiense.
