Vibrant jazz full of rhythm, melody & Caribbean influences

Bassist and composer Eric Calmes (Podium Prize 1986) leads his quintet in a rich and engaging program that bridges jazz and classical traditions.
Featuring polyrhythmic works from Kaya Grandi and later compositions, his music is rooted in strong, memorable melodies — inspired by folk traditions and shaped with refined harmonic depth.
The program also includes music by Emilio "Micho" Prudencia, and a special interpretation for admirers of J.S. Bach.
