The story of Chichi®
Strong • Proud • Caribbean
Chichi® is the Papiamentu word for ‘big sister’. She represents the eldest daughter of the family, who binds the family together in a loving and caring way. She helps her mother in taking care of her younger siblings and with the household tasks. She is a much appreciated female role model in the Caribbean community of today and a very live part of its colorful heritage.
Chichi® represents the love for her family but also for our culture and heritage. Because they are hand painted by many different artists, our Chichi® Painters, in different colors and designs they are all unique and become a perfect souvenir or gift as remembrance of your stay on our beautiful island of Curaçao. Workshops are given on Tuesday and Saturday mornings from 9:00-12:00. Walk-in between 9:00-9:30, no reservation needed, the workshop starts at 9:30am. Workshops are held at Serena’s Art Factory (next to the Ostrich Farm).
